Kaiafas Battle Pro Am Preview

The Waterski Pro Tour carries on this weekend in Kaiafas, Greece. The Kaiafas Battle Pro Am on July 8th and 9th will feature twenty-nine of the world's greatest slalom skiers as they push into the halfway point of the season.

Jaimee Bull Kaiafas Battle Pro Am

On the women's side, nine skiers are signed up to compete. Our top competitors will be Jaimee Bull and Allie Nicholson. Bull is coming off of a win at the Malibu Open where she set a season best score of 1.50@41off (10.25m). This season, she has been skiing very well scoring into 39off (10.75m) at every tour stop. Nicholson will be looking for her first tournament win of the year. So far, her best performance also came from the Malibu Open where she placed 3rd with a score of 4@39off (10.75m).

Will Asher Kaiafas Battle Pro Am

The men's division will consist of twenty skiers headed by Nate Smith, Freddie Winter, Will Asher, and Thomas Degasperi. Smith has been the league slalom leader all year. Last week at the Malibu Open, he put up a season high score of 1@43off (9.75m). Winter has been chasing him all year, securing a win at the Monaco Cup with a score of 5@41off (10.25m). Asher and Degasperi have been models of consistency all year, failing to run 39off (10.75m) in just one round all year between the two of them. As the men's field continues to push limits, it's become clear that any skier who wants a chance at the finals will need to score deep into 41off (10.25m) in the preliminary rounds just to make the cut.

The Kaiafas Battle Pro Am is the penultimate stop on the European leg of the Waterski Pro Tour. Be sure to tune in to the webcast, and check back in afterwards for a preview of the San Gervasio Pro Am.
